You’ve likely heard about manifestation before but it can sometimes seem like an elusive concept. Manifestation is the process of using intention, energy, and focus to bring about desired outcomes. It’s a way for us to create our reality...an empowering practice that has been around for centuries.
Manifestation works by sending out positive thoughts and intentions into the universe and then trusting that those intentions will become reality. It’s about using your energy and focus to tap into the universal law of attraction. At its core, manifestation is a practice that requires belief in yourself and trust in the universe – it’s all about loving yourself enough and trusting yourself that you can make it happen.

The power of manifestation allows us to bring to fruition our most desired outcomes. It gives us the power to create a life that we love and want...one filled with joy, passion, and abundance. When we’re living at our highest potential, we’re fulfilled. And when we’re fulfilled, we can be our unique selves contributing to the world with our natural strengths and abilities.
The Law of Attraction is a powerful tool that can help you manifest your dreams. It states that whatever you focus on—positive or negative—will be attracted to your life. When you practice gratitude, stay focused on the present moment, and cultivate mindfulness, the Law of Attraction will work its magic. Being crystal clear on what you want, gives the Universe a way to know what exactly it is that you want. Believing in yourself and keeping your focus on what matters to you and what you want to create guides your brain to shift into helping you attract what you want.
Are you desiring a better job or work situation that aligns with your values? Do you want to have the experience of traveling to faraway places? Are you wanting more self-confidence, more freedom, and/or time to do what you want, not constantly tending to everyone else’s needs?
It’s also important to know why you want these things. What’s the outcome you want to have? What’s the reason you want more time for yourself? Is it to explore your creative side? And then what will happen?
What’s the reason you want to travel? Do you want to have fun, learn how other people live, and not have to worry about anything?
Whatever you desire, know that you can not only have it but it may not arrive to you exactly the way you think it will and yet you might get something that is better than you could have ever imagined.
So how do you start manifesting your dreams? Here are a few tips to get you started:
Get clear on what you want to manifest.
Start by knowing the outcome you want.
What it is that you desire? Write it in your journal, and make a list on your computer. Don’t hold back. Dream big.
Make sure that whatever you’re wanting to manifest that it resonates with your heart and soul.
Seeing yourself already having your goal or dream will help you create a strong emotional connection to what you desire, which increases the law of attraction. Developing strategies for visualizing and affirming your desired outcomes is a key part of mastering the power of manifestation. Visualization involves focusing on what you want in vivid detail as if it has already been achieved.
What you can do is see yourself in every detail already experiencing the thing that you want. Take a moment right now to envision yourself in the scene of already having or being what you want. What colors do you see? What is the temperature where you are? What do you hear? What are the smells here? What are you doing and who are you with? How do you feel? All of this serves to make the visualization real. And your body and your brain get the message that this is possible.
Learning how to focus on what you want rather than what you don't is an important part of mastering the power of manifestation. When you focus on the negative aspects of life, such as lack and scarcity, or how hard life is, it only serves to attract more negative energy into your life.
Instead, start with having a positive mindset of abundance that will help draw good things into your life. This can be achieved by consciously focusing your attention on the things you already have in your life and being grateful. When you focus on what is going right in your life, the Universe will send more positive energy your way, enabling you to manifest your dreams.
Know your why. Why do you want this in your life? Are you wanting more freedom? More time to spend with the people who matter the most to you?
It can be useful to create a vision board or action board. A vision board is a collage of images cut from magazines and can be a visual reminder of what you’re wanting to attract so that you can keep yourself motivated. When you look at the images you can see what is possible and it sends a powerful message to your brain.
You can also include words, quotes, and affirmations that will help guide you on the journey.
This is a vision board I created in 2010 which represents my travels around the world while working as a psychotherapist on US military bases...my dream of travel came true!
Making a vision board is a great way to visualize the life you want. A vision board can be an incredibly powerful tool to help you manifest. By creating a visual reminder of what you want and putting it somewhere that you will see every day, you are subconsciously reminding yourself of your desired outcomes.
The power of images is huge. When you see your dreams every day, you can tell your brain that this is happening
Believe in yourself and the process. Trust that what you’re manifesting will come true and that it is already on its way to you.
Creating affirmations is an effective way to help you believe in yourself and your dreams. Affirmations are positive statements that help reinforce your desired outcome. When used regularly, these statements can transform how we think and feel about ourselves and our goals. They work by programming the subconscious mind with positive thoughts that will eventually become reality. For example, saying “I am confident and successful” will bring confidence and success into your life. By creating affirmations and repeating them daily, you can begin to manifest the life of your dreams.
Practicing gratitude and forgiveness is essential when it comes to manifesting. Gratitude helps us focus on what we already have, rather than what we don't. It creates a feeling of abundance that will attract more positive things into our lives. Forgiveness enables us to let go of negative thoughts and feelings related to past experiences. Both gratitude and forgiveness can help us create positive energy that will fuel our manifesting efforts. By practicing these two essential tools, you can unlock the power of manifestation and create the life you desire
